One of the purposes of The Saint Michael the Archangel Association is the propagation of the methods of execution , in the liturical setting as well, of Gregorian Chant as well as other liturgical-musical traditions of the medieval period, in particular Old Roman Chant (canto Romano Antico). To this end, the association organizes regular courses in 'Intoduction to Gregorian Chant' the first weeks of July, September and November given by Father Maurizio Verde. The courses in the years 2000, 2001, and 2002 will be held therefore in the following periods:

Advanced level courses in Gregorian Chant, given by Father Maurizio Verde and Giacomo Baroffio will be scheduled in the coming months. The courses of 'Introduction to Gregorian Chant' are free for all those belonging to the secular clergy, to the minor orders, and to the monastic orders. Those in these categories can also make use of accomodations offered to them at a reduced rate at the Convent of Saint Francis at Stroncone. (tel : 0744-60111) Tuition for the courses, which includes all teaching material, is 250.000 lira. Accomodations are available at the following hotels in Stroncone: "La Porta del Tempo" and "San Francesco". There is also the possibility of lodging in private homes belonging to the association of the Cavalieri di Ventura.
